I started studying Art Direction at the Miami Ad School in Hamburg. During my studies I was an intern at several big Agencies like Duval Guillaume in Brussels or Saatchi Saatchi in New York. While working in the ad industry my focus shifted more and more from conceptual and graphical work to technology and electronics.
Between 2010 and 2013 I’ve been working at Intuity Media Lab in Stuttgart as Concept Architect, Designer and Project Manager before becoming managing director of Intuity’s branch office in Hamburg. In 2015 Sven and I split with Intuity to found Makery where we since then work on the forefront of digitalisation and it’s laterals.
I was a founding member of the social start-up “dothiv”, which had the goal to establish the top level domain .hiv as the red ribbon of the internet.
After my interdisciplinary design studies at the Köln International School of Design (KISD) in 2010 I worked for the Stuttgart based Interaction Design Studio and Consultancy Intuity Media Lab for 5 years. My colleague and Makery’s co-founder Martin and me became managing partners of Intuity’s branch office in Hamburg in 2013. Here, I had the chance to work within an interdisciplinary team of highly skilled designers, strategist and information architects for some big brands as well as flourishing start-ups.
Since Martin and me where a capable 2 headed work horse and we wanted to focus more on interaction prototyping and hardware design, while being more effective and flexible we decided on leaving Intuity and founded Makery in 2015. I am now living and working for Makery’s office in Cologne, I am a husband and proud father of 2.
