20-SOMETHING

Berninas founder Karl Friedrich Gegauf invented the worlds first hemstitch sewing machine back in 1893. Since then the Swiss sewing machine company has come a long way. The sewing machines unprecedented quality, the great manufacturing and the companies strife for innovation makes Bernina one of our favourite clients.

The current generation of sewing, embroidery, quilting and overlocking machines are packed with technology and offer more than 4000 functions accessible through different knobs, switches and touchscreens. This results in the sewing machine being a UX and UI task of challenging and multifaceted proportion.

Since now more than 6 years we at Makery are fortunate to work with the interdisciplinary team at the Bernina headquarters in Steckborn. Being located right next to the Lake Constance, the meetings at Bernina are not only professional but also picturesque joyful.
