Modular Cabin Control
A Modular Passenger Interface for eVTOL Cabins
PROJECT OUTLINE
Meticulously crafted
As advanced air mobility moves from vision to reality, the passenger experience inside eVTOL aircraft becomes a defining factor for future urban transportation. In collaboration with Lufthansa Technik, Makery developed a modular passenger interface concept tailored specifically to the requirements of next-generation air taxi cabins.
Sleek and stylish
Building on decades of expertise in aircraft maintenance, modification, and cabin systems, Lufthansa Technik is expanding its focus toward emerging eVTOL mobility concepts. Makery supported this initiative by designing and engineering a fully functional prototype interface that combines intuitive usability, maintenance efficiency, and premium aesthetics within a compact architectural system.
Project Overview
Our goal was to create a scalable and service-friendly system architecture that can adapt to the highly compact and weight-sensitive environments of future eVTOL cabins. Particular attention was given to ergonomic interaction, modular maintainability, and seamless integration into premium interior concepts.

" "
The project included the conception, design, hardware integration, and prototype production of several modular cabin functions, including: – Pilot call functionality with integrated room microphone – Passenger reading light – USB-C charging interface – Adjustable fresh-air nozzle
From early planning and industrial design to hardware development and manufacturing, Makery delivered a demonstrator prototype together with the technical and functional definition of each individual module.
The result is a clean, future-oriented passenger interface system that translates aviation-grade functionality into a refined user experience for the next generation of urban air mobility.
